Overview
Each end of season, the Rhizome visual arts program at the Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture André Philip invites a professional or emerging visual artist to exhibit for one month at Château des Charmettes, a venue provided by the city of Torcy.
The Residency
The program covers presentation costs of 700€. Exhibition dates are flexible and to be arranged between May and June.
About Rhizome
For over 20 years, Rhizome has promoted visual arts as a lever for emancipation, creation, and social connection. The program is built on three pillars: accessible pedagogy for amateur practices, strong territorial anchoring with local residents and structures, and ongoing dialogue with contemporary creation and today's artists. Each season an artist residency nourishes the entire project, inspiring workshops, giving meaning to mediation actions, and unifying the team around a shared theme.
