About
Submit 1–6 high-quality images of landscape-engaged artwork across 2D and 3D mediums for a juried group exhibition exploring contemporary landscape.
Overview
From the Ground Up is an annual in-person juried group exhibition curated by Erika b Hess exploring how artists investigate the landscape today. The exhibition frames landscape as a point of departure rather than a fixed view, examining abstracted terrains, constructed environments, fleeting moments of light, and how artists engage landscape to examine perception and its relation to culture, politics, and memory. All disciplines engaging landscape—urban or rural, real or imagined, material or symbolic—are invited to submit.
