Nassau County and Suffolk County, Long Island, New York

The Bi-Monthly Community Impact Micro Grant supports creative programs that strengthen and inspire Nassau and Suffolk County communities. Designed with accessibility in mind, the streamlined bimonthly application process makes it easy for artists and organizations to bring their ideas to life. Every other month, funding is awarded to two Individual Artists and two Non-Profit Organizations making an impact through the arts.

  • $1,000 per grant
  • Ineligible if applicant has applied directly to New York State Council for the Arts (NYSCA) for 2026 funding or received multi-year NYSCA funding that includes FY 2026
  • Artist Fellowship and General Operating Support Grant recipients are eligible
  • Community Impact Micro Grant programs must take place in the same county as applicant's residence
  • Non-profit organizations must be registered with appropriate state agencies
  • Fiscal sponsorship is not available
  • Providing an entry-level grant opportunity for individual artists and community organizations
  • Supporting arts-centered programs and projects with demonstrable community impact
  • Funding of immediate, stand-alone, ongoing, or short-term projects
  • Funding artist fees, supplies and materials, venue rental, and marketing/promotional materials
  • Projects must be artistic or cultural in nature, encompassing visual, performing, media, literary arts or humanities
  • Projects must be open to the public

Programs may include exhibitions, workshop series open to the public, performances in all disciplines, festivals, screenings, and readings. Series of concerts or performances must be sequential or have a connecting theme to qualify.

  • Round 4: Application Deadline July 24, Funding Notification August 11
  • Round 5: Application Deadline September 25, Funding Notification October 13
  • Round 6: Application Deadline November 6, Funding Notification November 24
  • All awarded programming must be completed no later than December 31, 2026
  • Proposed programming must be scheduled to take place after the notification date that corresponds with the application submission date

Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit one week in advance of the deadline, at minimum. No late applications will be accepted and no exceptions will be made, including in response to technical difficulties. Applications will not be accepted after 5pm on the day of the submission deadline. Schedule an application review call with the grants team before submitting.

Awardees must submit a final report no later than 30 days after program completion via Jotform, including narratives describing program outcomes, proof of payments, itemized final budget, publicity and marketing materials, and program photos.
