Overview
The Vivacité program, created in 2007 through collaboration between CALQ and partners, supports professional artists from culturally diverse groups. Initially available only to Montreal residents, the program is now open to creators from every region of Quebec and is headed exclusively by CALQ.
Program Goals
- Support the practice of artists and writers from culturally diverse groups
- Foster complete participation in professional arts and literature settings in Quebec, taking into account barriers to integration
- Encourage projects that foster access among Quebec audiences to the work and productions of artists and writers from culturally diverse communities
