A shopping event for art-interested buyers seeking unique, handmade gifts of fine art and craft. Artists provide inventory for sale; items may be replenished as they sell.

  • Apply by September 9
  • Artwork intake: October 13–14
  • Exhibition and shopping: October 23–December 19

Open to all fine art and fine craft artists. Submissions chosen considering quality, price, and appropriateness for holiday gift-giving in an upscale, suburban market.

Painting, drawing, sculpture, jewelry, glass, fiber, photography, ceramics, printmaking, wood, and mixed media. Jewelry, pottery, fiber, and glass have proven especially good sellers. 2D work should be framed and ready to hang, or sleeved for display on stands.

Submit three images of work representing types of items you'd like to sell, indicating price range, size, and media information. Include information about medium, size, and retail price of each item. Apply by email to [email protected] or by mail to: Minnetonka Center for the Arts, ATTN: Arts of the Holidays, 2240 North Shore Drive, Wayzata MN 55391. Images sent as attachments are preferred. Materials sent by mail will be returned only if accompanied by a SSAE.

Price points under $200 sell best. Artists receive 60% commission on sales. Items that sell can be replenished. A big showpiece or two helps sell smaller items.

Items made primarily from unaltered commercially manufactured components, and offset litho or giclee prints/reproductions.

Notifications by email as entries are received. If selected, you'll be supplied with inventory sheets and coded stickers for marking your items.

Event promotion includes social media postings, postcard mailings, Art Center website and newsletter features, and press releases/event listings in local newspapers. Participating artists receive electronic announcements for their mailing lists and social media.
