Overview
Chihuahua Deja Huella is an open call for local visual artists, muralists, illustrators, designers, sculptors and other creators to intervene on monumental sculptures of the chihuahua dog. Fifteen proposals will be selected. The finished works will form a permanent exhibition in public spaces, strengthening local identity and bringing art into everyday civic space.
Eligibility
Visual artists, muralists, illustrators, designers, sculptors and other creators of legal age who live in the municipality of Chihuahua.
What to Submit
An artistic proposal drawing on the cultural, historical and natural richness of the state. Proposals may draw on the history and cultural heritage of Chihuahua, Indigenous peoples, flora and fauna, landscapes, architecture, traditions, gastronomy, artistic expression, historical figures, innovation, or any other original idea compatible with the terms of the call.
Awards
Each selected artist receives 25,000 pesos economic stipend for the artistic intervention of one monumental sculpture, plus two collectible sculptures, basic materials, technical support, institutional promotion and participation in the inaugural exhibition.
