Overview
The Chrysalis Award was created by the James Renwick Alliance for Craft to support and inspire emerging craft artists in the United States. This year's award recognizes an emerging artist working in ceramics.
Who can apply
- US-based artists
- Completed a four-year academic program and/or self-directed equivalent training within the past five years
- Residencies, workshops, apprenticeships, and/or other dedicated practice qualify as equivalent training
- May not have been curated into an exhibition at a major museum such as the SAAM Renwick Gallery (open call exhibitions do not disqualify)
- Must be working in the ceramics field and show merit, skill, and innovation
