Texas Photographic Society announces its 39th Annual Members Only Show, juried by Amy Holmes George, fine art photographer and former TPS Executive Director. The exhibition will be held at the Center for Contemporary Arts in Abilene, Texas. This open-themed call welcomes submissions from artists of all levels internationally who are current TPS members (may join at time of entry).

  • October 2, 2026: Submission deadline through CaFÉ site (11:59 p.m. Mountain Time Zone)
  • October 9, 2026: Exhibiting artists announced via email
  • November 6, 2026: Work due at Center for Contemporary Arts
  • November 2-6, 2026: Local drop-off hours Tu-Sat 11am-5pm
  • November 13, 2026: Exhibition opens
  • January 15, 2027: Closing Reception TBA

Open to artists internationally, 18 years old or older. You must be a current TPS member at time of entry; membership may be joined or renewed on CaFÉ while submitting. Works previously exhibited in TPS shows are not eligible. Current TPS Board members may enter but are not eligible for awards.

All photography-based work is encouraged, including digital, silver, and alternative processes. Submit 5-12 images (CaFÉ requires a minimum of 5; you may submit multiples of the same image to reach the minimum).

$30 for 5 images, plus $5 for each additional image. All entry and membership fees are non-refundable.

  • First Place: $400
  • Second Place: $250
  • Third Place: $150
  • Up to 5 Honorable Mentions may be awarded

Amy Holmes George is a fine art photographer and educator based near Dallas. She served as Executive Director of Texas Photographic Society (2014-2018) and has held teaching appointments at Baylor University, University of North Texas, and Stephen F. Austin State University. A Fulbright Scholar and past member of the National Board of Directors of the Society for Photographic Education, her work has been exhibited widely in the U.S. and internationally (Italy, England, France, China) and is held in permanent collections including The Getty, The Kinsey Institute, and the Fratelli Alinari Museum in Florence. She earned an MFA in photography from Clemson University and a BFA cum laude from Miami University.
