Digital or AI artwork, video, motion picture film, audio, giclée prints.
Each artist can provide a total of up to three (3) submissions. There is a non-refundable fee of $35 for the first submission, $10 for the second submission, and $10 for the third submission.
Artworks submitted must have been created within the last 2 years (2024 - 2026). If you are submitting a work that is part of a series, the submitted piece MUST be unique and distinguishable from any of your other works of art. Works that have previously been exhibited at Coos Art Museum are NOT eligible. Artworks that are accepted must be the same as the images on the files entered - no substitutions or modifications. If your work is a replica of another person's work, the title MUST contain notation of the original work and original artist. Works must be ready for hanging. All work must be neatly labeled on the back with the artist’s name, address, and phone number. Labels must also show the work’s Title, Medium and Date of Creation.
Artists may offer exhibited artwork for sale, but the Museum will not process any sale transactions. All artwork must remain on exhibit until the closing date. The artist sets the price and handles the sale directly with the buyer. Coos Art Museum does not process payments or take a commission, except during designated fundraising events with separate terms. This practice allows artists to keep the full proceeds from their work and communicate directly with interested buyers. After the exhibition closes, the artist is responsible for arranging delivery or shipping of any sold artwork.
Accepted artwork must be delivered to Coos Art Museum at the artist’s expense. Shipped artwork must arrive during the delivery window. Hand-delivered artwork may be dropped off during the delivery window. Artists are also responsible for getting their artwork back after the exhibition. Work may be picked up in person during the artwork return dates, or returned by shipping. Artists may arrange and pay for their own return shipping or ask the Museum to coordinate return shipping. If the Museum arranges return shipping, the artist will be charged all shipping costs plus a $30 handling fee to cover staff time. Detailed shipping instructions will be provided to accepted artists. Artwork received without prepaid return shipping or other return arrangements will be shipped to the artist’s last known address, and the artist will be responsible for all shipping and handling costs. If you are unable to deliver or retrieve your artwork during the scheduled dates, please contact the Museum in advance to make other arrangements.
Art is insured while in the Museum’s care. Coverage begins when the artwork arrives at the Museum, continues through the exhibition, and concludes when artwork is returned to the artist or shipped.
