About
Overview
ArteSumapaz offers a self-directed artist residency program for visual artists, musicians, writers, architects, clay artists, performers, and other makers. The residency provides full access to studio spaces of all kinds (visual art, music, movement, writing, etc.) throughout a 230-acre campus that includes a natural park. Artists have the freedom to explore and experiment with their work.
Duration & Location
The residency takes place in Colombia (ArteSumapaz campus). Artists may stay for 1–3 months during the December 2026 program cycle.

Studio & Workspace
Shared and private studio spaces include: painting studio, 3D studio, movement studio, two private writing rooms, and music studio. Workspace assignments are reviewed monthly to match each resident's practice.
Accommodation & Meals
Private rooms with queen-size beds, private bathrooms with hot water, desks, and storage are provided. Three vegetarian meals per day are included.
Fees
- Back wing room: $945 USD per month
- Front wing room: $1,045 USD per month

Community & Expectations
Artists are welcome to participate in weekly open critique sessions, share workshops, or organize exhibitions, though none of this is mandatory. Three vegetarian meals are provided daily. Residents must clean their own plates and attend one mandatory weekly community meeting at lunchtime. All residents must respect community and house rules.
