Overview
The Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona is the Local Arts Agency for the City of Tucson, managing the City's Public Art Program and Pima County's public art initiatives based on their respective governing policies and administrative directives.
Percent for Public Art
One percent of capital improvement project budgets over $100,000 is allocated toward public art, applied to selected City Capital Improvement Projects funded by bonds. Since 1986, more than 300 public art projects have been completed in metropolitan Tucson.

- Capital Improvement Projects: Manages public art panel assembly, artist selection, design meetings, fabrication, installation, and artwork inventory.
- Artist Roster Services: A standing list of pre-qualified public art artists available for projects with budgets not exceeding $50,000.
- Donations: Oversees donations and temporary artwork processes for the City of Tucson.
- Relocation and Deaccession: Manages removal or relocation of artworks within the City's collection.
- Public Art Map: Interactive online resource documenting all public artwork in the City of Tucson and Southern Arizona collections.
- Panel Service: Volunteer opportunities for residents to serve on Public Art Panels and participate in artist selection.
Eligibility
The Artist Roster is an optional selection process available to City procurement for percent-for-art public art projects.
Donations and Temporary Works
The City of Tucson will consider accepting donations of artwork into its public art collection, siting privately funded projects on public property, and accepting temporary works of art for display in City-owned facilities. All public art must adhere to the City's Administrative Directive #7.01-6 guidelines.
