Rooted + Rising brings together local and regional Black artists whose work reflects the many ways history, culture, creativity, pride, resilience, and activism continue to shape contemporary expression. These artists carry stories and traditions forward while making something entirely their own, reminding us that culture is not static—it grows, changes, and finds new ways to speak.
Emerging and established local and regional artists are welcome to apply. The exhibition hopes to display a wide range of artistic practices, materials, and approaches.
