2023 ARPA ORGANIZATION GRANTS - Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona

Overview

The Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona will accept proposals for funding from cultural organizations in Tucson and Southern Arizona using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. These funds are designed to fuel the nation's recovery from COVID-19 by supporting jobs in the arts sector and assisting organizations in their response to and recovery from the pandemic. The Arts Foundation will steward ARPA funds to complement a 3-year initiative to equitably rebuild arts economies in the borderlands and strengthen civic participation.

• Award: $5,000 to $10,000
• Funding period: August 15, 2022, to December 15, 2023
• No cost share or matching funds required
• Eligible costs include artist contracts, salary support, and facilities costs

Eligibility

Open to Southern Arizona 501(c)(3) arts organizations and Tribal Nations located within the Arts Foundation's service area, which includes counties and Tribal Nations between the southern edges of the Gila River and the US-Mexico international border.

Program Focus

Organization Grants will invest in Southern Arizona's arts economy to restore/create jobs and incentivize arts and civic engagement. The program prioritizes organizations serving a broad constituency with wide geographic range, particularly those supporting underserved populations whose opportunities to experience the arts are limited by geography, ethnicity, economics, or disability.
