Overview
Hygge: The Gift of Comfort is a holiday group exhibition at The Confluence celebrating the Danish concept of hygge—coziness, comfortable conviviality, and well-being. Artists are invited to submit work in any medium representing their personal style while embracing the feeling of hygge. The gallery encourages affordable price points for the gift-giving season.

- Submission deadline: September 16, 2026
- Delivery deadline: November 7, 2026
- Exhibition opens: November 21, 2026 (5–7 PM opening reception)
- Exhibition closes: January 9, 2027
- Pick-up available: Sunday, January 10 and Monday, January 11, 10 AM–2 PM (or by arrangement)
Eligibility & requirements
- Original work only
- Available for sale
- Created in the last 3 years
- Never previously shown in Okanogan County
- Ready for hanging with appropriate hardware/wire secured to work
- Works without hanging hardware or not professionally presented will not be hung
Media & size
Any medium accepted. Any size accepted. No size restrictions for this show.
Submission process
- Fill out online submission form at confluencegallery.wufoo.com/forms/hygge-call-for-art by September 16, 2026 (submit each piece separately)
- Email high-quality JPGs (300dpi) of work to [email protected]
- Deliver completed works and signed Confluence contract to gallery by November 7, 2026
- Complete Artist Statement and Bio online for public display

Curator selection
The curator reserves the right to refuse work, even after delivery, if it does not contribute to the direction, cohesiveness, or available space of the show. High-quality execution and thoughtful content aligned with the vision of hygge are required.
