Overview
IFP is an independent workspace and think tank hosting residencies, research projects, and exhibitions that stretch borders between art, architecture, and other disciplines. Applications are open for the IFP Residency, which supports cross-disciplinary research that proposes strategies to collect information, produce work, or conduct artistic experiments. Research in any discipline is welcome if it can provide contemporary arts with new insights, modes of thinking, or research strategies.
Eligibility
Open to artists and researchers, including those in disciplines other than the arts. Residency proposals must demonstrate a link to the local Chinese context.

Program Benefits
Accepted projects receive a studio workspace and local assistance. IFP has partnerships with the Mondriaan Foundation (Netherlands), Iaspis (Sweden), the Australia Council for the Arts, and the Danish Arts Council, which provide specific grants for residencies at IFP.
Costs
Artists must raise funds for travel, production, and per diem in collaboration with IFP, unless covered by one of the partner grants. Application is free.
