About
Overview
Stomping Ground is commissioning a short solo or duet created for children and touring to primary schools, festivals and public spaces. Applications welcome from dance artists and artists from other disciplines who use movement in their practice.
What you get
- £20,000 commission to create a new outdoor work
- Up to two weeks of in-kind studio space at The Place (subject to availability)
- Opportunities for facilitated sharing with groups of children
- Guidance and support in creating and producing outdoor work
- Touring for five weeks as part of The Playground Tour, with potential further touring opportunities at partners' festivals
Who can apply
- Based in the UK
- Applying with a work with a strong and distinctive movement element
- Previous experience of making and touring high quality work in different contexts
- Not currently in education (unless at PhD level)
- Work cannot have been previously submitted to Stomping Ground unless it has had further development since applying
