The Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Thuringia has been funding the program since 2018. During their one-month residency, the artists receive free accommodation, a €1,000 grant and a free studio in the building. Networking with regional artists is supported. At the end, a joint finissage will be organized. Due to the special significance of glass in Lauscha, applications from glass artists are very welcome. In consultation with the Lauscha Glass Museum, exhibitions are also possible there. Institution Kulturkollektiv Goetheschule e.V In 2014 the cultural collective Goetheschule e.V. was founded. Under the motto "Art needs space and appreciation" the Goetheschule in Lauscha was partially rented. A coexistence of painters, graphic artists, musicians, graffiti artists, glassblowers, photographers, filmmakers, theater people, young and old, to develop this building, forms a BAUHAUS work concept in the deep province in the Thuringian Forest. Exhibitions, concerts, readings, workshops, plays, a poetry slam a year, own contributions to the Lauscha events and a small library then carry these artistic / cultural resources to the outside. It is the claim of this project to minimize the senseless distance between artists and recipients and to make art and culture directly tangible and to develop a melting pot of the artistic and cultural energy of our region. In addition to an enormous amount of space, the house offers the possibility of exchange and, due to its history, already has the aura of an educational institution.
