Surprise Arts invites West Valley-based student art and science clubs to submit concepts for free-standing sculptures created from upcycled/recyclable materials for the Roots of Creation: Art and Nature Festival 2027.

Eligibility
Applicants must be West Valley-based (west of the I-17) student art or science clubs. Club leaders, educators, and/or artists who work or volunteer directly with local student organizations are encouraged to apply. Each group must identify an adult lead coordinator, such as a teacher, artist, or club organizer.
Theme & requirements
Proposed sculptures must be family-friendly and relate to the theme of nature and/or recycling. Sculptures must be created from upcycled/recyclable materials. Use of AI in work samples or final artworks is prohibited.
Application
Submit an initial concept that includes details describing the idea along with reference images and/or sketches and designs of the proposed sculpture. Applications will be evaluated based on connection to the theme of nature, demonstrated use of recycled materials, creativity of approach, and intentional design.
Award
Selected clubs will receive a $500 stipend for completion and installation of their proposal.
