Get matched →ArtCrush Gallery has invited HUG's community to curate 10 of their artists for an exhibition in Ghent, Belgium. This collaboration aims to carry forth Ghent's centuries-old commitment to the arts by empowering a new era of technology-empowered art. Curated artwork will be displayed at the ArtLab Ghent with digital screens alongside larger-than-life projections on the gallery's outer wall. This Open Call has concluded and selected artists have been notified via email.
There is no specific theme for this call; artists are encouraged to show their best work. Pieces may be either unminted or minted. Artwork must have a square or portrait aspect ratio (preferred).
Everyone is welcome to submit their artwork. However, only artists with a published or pending Hug Artist Profile are eligible to be selected. Learn more and apply for a free Hug Artist Profile today.
Depending on the Open Call and its respective partner, artists can be selected either at the sole discretion of the partner or with input from the community. Our partners receive the entire list of submissions for review and selection, and have the list of community favorites available to them in case they would like to factor that into their decision.
The community of art lovers is invited to participate in the curation process by voting for their favorite artworks. Artists can invite anyone to create a free Hug account and vote for their artwork to be highlighted. Each vote submitted by a Curator or Senior Curator is counted double and triple respectively. Community voting highlights favorites but is never the only input used in determining which artists get selected. Anyone with a free Hug account can vote.
