Overview
This grant offers up to $15,000 to King County-based artists and art groups to create and share art projects of any medium with communities, residents, and visitors.

Eligibility
- Not eligible: 4Culture staff, Board, or Arts Advisory Committee members; 2025 Art Projects for Individuals grant recipients; Art Projects grant recipients with incomplete contracts; individuals applying on behalf of current Sustained Support or Launch recipient organization staff; 2026 Art Projects for Individuals selection panelists
Evaluation Criteria
- Artistic Impact (you select one): Continuity, Growth, or Engagement
- Public Benefit: art is the primary component; project includes a compelling, feasible public event for King County residents; efforts to be accessible to many ages, disabilities, languages, and communities
- Quality and Qualifications: work samples and experience demonstrate ability to complete the project
- Feasibility: project will be completed within the 2-year grant period with practical timeline and thoughtful planning
- Advancing Equity (optional): project specifically benefits communities of color and/or historically marginalized communities
Equity Investments
4Culture provides additional funding to all selected projects that meet one or more of the following: you are based outside the City of Seattle, you are located in one of Seattle's Communities of Opportunity, or your application scores highly on the Advancing Equity criteria.
Public Benefit
Funding comes from Lodging Tax paid by hotel visitors to Washington State. Your application must clearly explain how King County residents will be able to enjoy, learn from, and benefit from your work and artmaking.
