With support from the Fondation Pierre et Catherine Lalumière, École des Beaux-arts de Bretagne and Cité internationale des arts have co-developed a residency program to support and encourage the professional insertion of emerging creators. This residency is part of the professional insertion program Et demain! of École des Beaux-arts de Bretagne.

  • Opportunity to present work at the open studio sessions of Cité internationale des arts, open weekly to professionals, artists, residents, and the public

  • Curriculum vitæ (4 pages maximum, PDF format)
  • Artist portfolio with approximately 10 images of past works with complete captions (10 pages maximum, PDF, 10 MB max), plus video and/or audio files (.mp3, .avi) as appropriate
  • Letter of intention (3 pages maximum, PDF) presenting: key elements of artistic background; the project to be developed during the residency, including work processes or research themes; reasons why a Paris residency is necessary for this project in terms of content, contacts, or institutions; motivations for joining the Cité internationale des arts community of 300 artists from all practices, nationalities, and generations

Studios range from 25 to 35 m² and are designed to combine creative research and daily living. Each includes a work space, kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area. Current studio-lodgings do not meet accessibility standards for people with disabilities; the organization is working to improve this. Inquiries about accessibility should be directed to the venue.
