Overview
The 12th International Awards for Art Criticism invites writers worldwide to submit critical reviews of contemporary art exhibitions. The awards aim to support independent critical coverage of contemporary art and stimulate good writing, critical thinking, and dialogue in China, the UK, and beyond.
Eligibility & Requirements
Open to candidates from anywhere in the world writing in Chinese or English. Reviews must cover contemporary art exhibitions held anywhere in the world or online between 1 September 2025 and 31 August 2026. Submissions must not have been previously published elsewhere.
Submission Requirements
Submit a review of 1,500 English words or 2,500 Chinese characters on any exhibition of contemporary art.

- First Prize: 10,000 EUR (pre-tax) or ~80,000 RMB equivalent
- Three Second Prizes: 3,500 EUR (pre-tax) each or ~30,000 RMB equivalent each
