About the Call
The Hearth Gallery (Bowen Island Arts Council) is planning its 2027 season, featuring a dynamic mix of art exhibitions and cultural events. The gallery welcomes proposals in all media and styles—2D, 3D, literary, and beyond—provided all work is original and created by the artist. Solo, group, and collaborative exhibitions are encouraged.
Eligibility
Open to Bowen Island artists and a limited number from the southwest corner of BC. Current membership at Hearth Arts on Bowen is required. Group proposals must present a cohesive theme and name one primary contact.
Submission Requirements
- Completed application form
- Artist statement with description of your proposed exhibition theme and (if possible) description of previous work relating to the theme
- CV/Resume including contact information and exhibition history
- Three to five images representative of your current body of work with title, year, medium, price, and dimensions (in separate file titled 'image list')

Commission & Compensation
Art sales are split 65% to the artist and 35% to the Hearth. The Hearth's portion supports the promotion and management of gallery exhibitions. Artists are expected to have current membership at the Hearth Arts on Bowen.
