The $100 and Under Art Market features talented local makers and artists selling handmade holiday items at an indoor community event. All items for sale must be $100 or less, making them accessible and giftable. The event expects approximately 40 accepted artists and 5-10 alternates.

  • September 23, 2026: Application deadline
  • October 9, 2026: Jury notifications sent to artists
  • December 4, 2026: Market date

Friday, December 4, 2026. VIP Hour from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Market open to public from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (four hours total). Part of December's First Friday Art Walk.

Open to local artists. If accepted, you must become an Artist Member of the Springfield Regional Arts Council.

  • Painting (oil, watercolor, acrylic, etc.)
  • Drawing (pencil, chalk, ink, pastel, charcoal)
  • Printmaking (intaglio, relief, woodblock, linocut, screenprinting)
  • Sculpture (original three-dimensional work)
  • Ceramics (original works, excludes jewelry)
  • Glass (glassblowing, casting, kilnforming, assemblage; excludes commercial patterns and jewelry)
  • Jewelry (wearable works in metals, clay, glass, fibers, paper, plastics, or other materials)
  • Metal (excludes jewelry)
  • Wood (unique, original hand-tooled, machine worked or carved work)
  • Fiber (weaving, batik, basketry, fabric, paper; excludes jewelry)
  • Mixed Media (incorporates more than one material type; excludes jewelry)
  • Digital Art (uses digital technology in creative process or presentation; excludes photography; AI art not permitted)
  • Photography (digital or traditional methods; actual artist photographer must be in attendance)
  • Other (artwork not fitting other categories)

Submit five images: four representative of your work to be exhibited at the market, and one of your booth display showing how you would set up your space.

  • Non-refundable jury fee: $10
  • Three independent, qualified jurors will judge entries
  • Entries assigned numbers and identified to jurors by number only
  • Jurors consider: Overall Presentation (cohesive body of work with design identity), Craftsmanship (well-conceived and expertly executed), Originality (artist's original work only; no AI art)

SRAC handles all patron checkout and artist payments; artists do not handle money or need a retail license. All art brought to the event must be priced at $100 or less in whole dollar amounts. SRAC retains 25% commission on all sales.
