The $100 and Under Art Market will feature our region's incredibly talented local makers, creators, and artists selling their handmade holiday items at this indoor community-centric event. All items for sale at the event must be $100 or less. Since it's the holiday season, the accessible pricing lends itself to giftable art! Over the past decade, The Springfield Regional Arts Council has grown this event's success and loyal following, boasting 40 artists in attendance with over 1,000 patrons visiting this four-hour market in 2025. This year, the $100 and Under Art Market will be open during December's First Friday Art Walk, on Friday, December 4, 2026, from 5-8 pm with a 4-5 pm VIP hour prior.
LOCATION: The location for the 2026 Art Market will be announced soon! Event location will be different than the 2025 $100 and Under Art Market. MARKET DATE & TIME: Friday, December 4, 2026, with a 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. VIP Hour. The Market opens to the public from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. for a total event run time of four hours. JURY INFORMATION: The non-refundable jury fee is $10. If accepted, participating artists must be an Artist Member of the Springfield Regional Arts Council. You can find more information regarding memberships at springfieldarts.org All artists will be notified by October 9, 2026 The jury panel will consist of three independent, qualified jurors Each entry will be considered solely on the merits of the works pictured in the images submitted Each entry will be assigned a number and will be identified to the jurors by that number The following factors will be considered in jurying: Overall Presentation: The body of work should be cohesive and show an identity of design. Craftsmanship: Work should be well-conceived and expertly executed Originality: All work must be the original work of the artist. It should convey the individuality of the artist. No AI art will be Up to 40 artists will be accepted and 5-10 alternates chosen. Alternates will be notified via email if a spot becomes available. MEDIA DESCRIPTIONS Clay: Original works in ceramics, excludes jewelry. Drawing: Two-dimensional works in pencil, chalk, ink, pastel, or charcoal. Digital Art: Works that draw upon the use of digital technology in its creative process or presentation, excludes photography. Artwork created using artificial intelligence is not permitted. Fiber: Works in fiber of any type including fabric and paper; weaving, batik and basketry; excludes jewelry. Glass: Works made of glass crafted by glassblowing, casting, kilnforming or assemblage; must not be made from commercial patterns; excludes jewelry. Jewelry: Wearable works in metals, clay, glass, fibers, paper, plastics, or other materials. Metal: Works crafted from metal; excludes jewelry. Mixed Media: Two-dimensional and three-dimensional works that incorporate more than one type of material in the production of a single work; excludes jewelry. Painting: Two-dimensional works in paint including oil, watercolor, acrylic, and others. Photography: Works created by digital or traditional photographic methods. Actual artist photographer must be in attendance. Printmaking: Works created using traditional intaglio or relief printmaking, including wood block, linocut and/or screenprinting. Sculpture: Original work that is three-dimensional, can be made from a variety of materials, including clay, stone, wood, metal, plaster, wax, resins, and plastics. Wood: Unique, original hand-tooled, machine worked or carved work. Other: Artwork that does not fit into any of the other media categories. DIGITAL IMAGE SUBMISSION Submit five images: Four images representative of the work to be exhibited at the market and a fifth of the booth display. Booth display image needs to demonstrate how you would set up your space at the event. IMPORTANT DATES September 23, 2026 Application deadline October 9, 2026 Jury notifications sent to artists December 4, 2026 Market date SALES INFORMATION SRAC is responsible for checking out all patrons, artists will not be handling money and art sales. This means you do not need a retail license to sell at the event. SRAC will retain a 25% commission on all sales made at the Market. If accepted, all art brought to the event must be $100 or less. All art must be priced in whole dollar amounts.
