Get matched →Alchemy is an artist-led international residency offering artists time and space to explore the intersections of creative practice, place and community. Founded in 2015 on the Toronto Islands, Alchemy's pillars are food, art, garden, and table. Participants engage in dedicated studio time, site-specific exploration, lively salon-style suppers, and conversation in a respectful and supportive environment.
Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts is located in the Toronto Islands—the largest car-free community in North America, 15 minutes by ferry from downtown Toronto.
Open to artists of any career stage based anywhere in the world. May apply individually or as a team (must apply and be accepted individually). Disciplines include visual arts, painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, mixed media, photography, film, performance, dance, writing, ceramics, textiles, and many others.
