SOMI Art Fest 2027

Overview

The 42nd annual SOMI Art Fest is a juried two-day outdoor festival held the weekend after Presidents' Day on Sunset Drive in downtown South Miami, from US1 to Red Road. The event attracts a diverse group of art lovers and offers free public admission with live music and an international food court. Proceeds benefit South Miami Rotary charitable efforts.

Key Dates

• Application Deadline: November 13, 2026
• Artist Notification: November 25, 2026
• Booth Fees Due: December 18, 2026
• No Refunds After: January 19, 2027
• Show Dates: February 20–21, 2027
• Setup: February 20, 2027, 6:00 a.m. (must be completed by 9:45 a.m.)

Festival Hours

• Saturday, February 20: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Sunday, February 21: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Application Requirements

• 5 digital images required (1920 pixels on longest side), including an outdoor booth shot with fully displayed work
• Images must be recent and representative of work to be exhibited
• All applications must include an email address (notification method)
• $35 non-refundable application fee

Awards

• Best in Show: $1,750
• Second Prize: $1,150
• Third Prize: $850
• Up to five Artists of Note: $450 each (at judges' discretion)
• Total cash awards: at least $6,000

Artist Amenities

• Load-in and out at booth space
• Complimentary continental breakfast both mornings
• Complimentary bottled water and snacks
• Booth sitting available for brief breaks
• Automatic acceptance for winners the following year
