Casa na Ilha is a retreat space for artists to dedicate time to their creative pursuits in an ecological paradise on Ilhabela island. Artists work on self-directed projects with uninterrupted work time and access to a 24/7 on-site tutor to discuss ideas, projects, and progress. Each session hosts 2–6 artists from different disciplines, promoting peer interaction, collaboration, and creative development through discussion groups.
Location & Setting
The residency takes place on Ilhabela, the largest island in an archipelago on the north coast of São Paulo state, Brazil, located 200 km from São Paulo city. The island is covered by Atlantic rainforest (Mata Atlântica) with unique fauna and flora, featuring over 73 beaches and 27 waterfalls.
