About
Overview
Awestruck Press is an emerging literary and arts journal dedicated to the environment, social action and the experience of awe, founded in 2023. For the third magazine issue, we are exploring the theme of climate, weather, climate change and environmentalism. You can interpret this theme broadly—we just want people to feel connected to the earth and inspired to protect it when reading the magazine. This is an early submission opportunity not yet announced on social media.
What to submit
We welcome visual art, photography, poetry, writing, essays, and more. You can submit up to 10 artworks, up to 10 written works, or a combination of both; however, no more than 10 submissions altogether.
Key dates
- Submission deadline: 31 August 2026
Eligibility
Artists worldwide are welcome to submit.
Fees
- £5 per submission
- Submission fees are used to fund the planting of trees and allow Awestruck to create further opportunities for artists
What contributors receive
Each accepted contributor will receive publication in the magazine and a free digital copy. We also create artist spotlight posts on Instagram for some contributors (randomly selected). We occasionally invite artists for an online interview to be included in the publication when they have done notable work in the field.
Selection process
How many people are selected varies per issue and is completely dependent on time, resources and page count. This typically isn't decided until after the selection process. The print run of this issue is expected to be approximately 20.
