The program provides unrestricted grant funds for general operations, administration, and programming. The Annual Grants Program operates on a multi-year cycle covering calendar years 2027, 2028, and 2029. Organizations funded in 2027 will be automatically awarded again in 2028 and 2029 without submitting a new application.
All applicants must submit an eligibility check online. After confirmation, eligible applicants will gain access to the full application. Application workshops, draft reviews, and office hours are available for support.
Every listing links to the organizer's official page. Always confirm deadlines, fees, and entry rules there before you apply.
An independent panel of national grant professionals evaluates applications using a standardized scoring rubric and review criteria. Scoring centers diversity, equity, inclusion, and access across community impact, artistic merit, and organizational capacity, with an emphasis on racial equity. Grant award amounts vary, tiered by budget size, and range within each tier according to application score. Funding recommendations are presented to the Indy Arts Council Grants Committee and Board of Directors for final approval.
