THE SPACE BETWEEN is an international juried group exhibition at Hugo Rivera Gallery in Laguna Beach, California. The exhibition explores what exists between moments, ideas, emotions, people, places, and realities. We invite artists of all mediums to interpret the spaces, moments, and emotions that exist in between.

Submit one to three JPG or JPEG digital images. File dimensions must be 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side; file size maximum 5 MB. For 2D works, crop the image to the artwork only. You may send more than one angle or close-up image of any work, but only one image per artwork will be displayed. Each artwork must be clearly labeled on the back with the artist's name, measurements, and title.

The artist is responsible for the cost of shipping or mailing artwork to and from Hugo Rivera Gallery using UPS, FedEx, or USPS. A return shipping label and return postage must be included with the artwork or work will not be accepted. Artwork may also be hand-delivered and picked up from Hugo Rivera Gallery on September 27–29, 2026. All works must be picked up by September 27; artwork not collected after that date will incur a $5 per day storage fee. If the gallery does not receive a response from the artist within one month, the artwork will be donated to a nonprofit organization.

ACCEPTED ARTWORK must be delivered clean, framed, wired, and ready to hang. Work to hang on the wall must be fitted with framing wire. Paint and any other materials must be dry.
