A 10-day immersive residency coordinated by curator Agnaldo Farias exploring the theme of Art and Nature. The residency welcomes artists across disciplines (painting, music, literature, performance, etc.) to engage with the natural and symbolic dimensions of the location, including forest legends, environmental concerns, and community dynamics. Completion of a finished work is not required.

  • Application deadline: March 17, 2022
  • Residency: March 25 – April 3, 2022

Located in São Sebastião, Brazil. All residents receive individual suite accommodation, full meals, and access to shared facilities including kitchen, laundry, pool, and gathering areas.

Facilities include collective studio space, woodworking workshop, ceramic kiln, recording studio, sewing machine, projectors for indoor and outdoor use, free internet, internal parking, and community bicycles.

Open to artists of all disciplines. Preference given to Afrodescendant and Indigenous artists.

Art and Nature: Artists are invited to engage with the theme of Art and Nature through immersion in the local environment, exploring the exuberant natural surroundings, symbolic dimensions (forest and sea legends), and socio-environmental questions emerging from the region.
