Get matched →HBK Braunschweig offers a 12-month curatorial fellowship starting 1 April 2027. The fellow will develop and realize a curatorial concept for the final exhibition of the Braunschweig Projects programme 2027/2028 and create a curatorial project ideally connected to a museum, collection, scientific or cultural institution in Lower Saxony. The fellow participates in the jury meeting to select artistic fellows and works closely with selected artists throughout the programme.
Open to curators with at least 3 years of initial curatorial experience. Applicants cannot receive regular benefits from third parties (work grants, salary payments) or state funding during the funding period.
The fellowship holder is expected to spend at least 8 months on site in Braunschweig during the HBK lecture period. Participation in Welcome Weeks (19–30 April 2027) is mandatory.
