Get matched →The 36th Annual Tephra ICA Arts Festival is a competitive juried outdoor art festival rated as one of the best in the country for quality of artwork and artist hospitality. Held at Reston Town Center and attracting 40,000+ art-educated patrons from the Washington DC metropolitan region and beyond.
Submit 4 images of artwork plus 1 booth image via ZAPP. Images are reviewed blind by 3 art professionals who judge only on digital images with artist identity withheld. Booth image should show three walls from front and be taken without identifiable signage or artist in frame. Artists can submit up to three applications for different media categories; jewelry must be applied for separately.

EZ-up and lightweight accordion-style pop-up tents are not permitted due to high wind concerns. Limited tent and weight rentals available on first-come, first-served basis (10'x7' or 10'x9' tents; not artist tents). Certificate of Insurance naming Tephra ICA as additionally insured is required 45 days before the show. Artists are responsible for proper insurance and protection of work and booth.
An invitation to participate does not guarantee booth space. The festival invites more artists than available spaces to ensure a full, well-curated show. Invited artists who do not commit by paying their booth fee by the deadline will be automatically moved to the waitlist. Specific block and booth placements cannot be guaranteed but requests can be made.
