About
Program Overview
A Associação Paulista dos Amigos da Arte (APAA) selects up to 5 audiovisual production companies based in São Paulo State to produce fictional short films with free classification. The program is an initiative of the Secretariat of Culture, Economy and Creative Industries of São Paulo State and APAA in partnership with ICINE – Forum of Cinema of the Interior of São Paulo. Documentaries, non-fictional works, or films exceeding the specified duration are not accepted.
Funding Distribution

Key Dates
- Registration: March 9 to April 8, 2026, 6 PM (closed)
- Selection: Portfolio and proposal analysis; results on April 24, 2026

Eligibility
- Active CNPJ (MEIs accepted)
- Minimum 1 year operating as audiovisual producer
- At least one completed audiovisual work up to 70 minutes (ANCINE levels 2–3)
- Must possess or have access to audiovisual equipment
Selection Criteria
Proposals are evaluated on artistic quality (0–5 points) and technical feasibility considering the proposal, timeline, budget, and credits (0–5 points). Selected producers are those meeting all conformity criteria with the highest proposal scores, per region availability.
Payment Schedule
- 60% (R$15,000) – 15 days after contract signature
- 20% (R$5,000) – 15 days after submission of production footage (first cut)
- 20% (R$5,000) – 15 days after final short film approval by APAA
APAA Support & Commitments
- Social media and digital promotion of the project and final short film
- Possible in-person launch event for the short film
- Licensing of the short film after one year on CultSP Play platform
- Registration of behind-the-scenes footage and crew interviews for serialized audiovisual content on cultspplay.com.br
- APAA credited as executive producer
