The Fondation Jan Michalski offers residencies for writers and translators at the foot of the Swiss Jura Mountains in Montricher. Although open to all kinds of writing and all languages, the programme prioritizes literary writers and translators. Residencies can accommodate individuals or pairs of participants for projects involving more than one discipline.

Open to writers and translators internationally, from emerging writers to seasoned veterans. Both individuals and pairs welcome. The foundation is not able to welcome families, children, or pets. One cabin is available for people with reduced mobility.

Each year approximately 40 authors are selected. Residents are allocated one of 7 cabins for periods lasting from 2 weeks to 3 months. For projects in pairs, a separate cabin will be assigned to each selected candidate.
