Ivica Sveta Residency 2026 (Season 2) is a two-week artist residency on a traditional farm in Samoš, Serbia, 65 kilometers from Belgrade. The program invites practicing visual artists to engage in intensive material experimentation and multi-disciplinary studio production, centered on the theme of Material Synthesis.

The residency emphasizes combining ceramics, wood, and metal, as well as integrating ceramics with XPS foam. The program operates without requiring a pre-determined project proposal and focuses on independent studio practice, technical skill-sharing, and material inquiry.

Open unconditionally to active, practicing visual artists across all disciplines worldwide. No project proposal is required.

  • 30 m² fully equipped ceramics studio with 60-liter kiln, potter's wheel, hand tool sets, and separate kiln room
  • Welding machinery and woodworking tools
  • Dedicated workshops on plastics/moulding, plaster working, and metal welding
  • Hands-on technical guidance for material combinations and supply purchasing
  • Routine transportation for grocery shopping and cultural excursions

Private bedroom in a spacious residential house with shared, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, Wi-Fi, fresh linens, towels, and laundry facilities. Accommodation is self-catering.
