The Dan Lawrie International Sculpture Collection (DLISC) invites applications from emerging and established artists worldwide for the 2027 Burlington Waterfront Sculpture Trail. The trail creates a 2.5 km experience linking five venues through 60 temporary sculptures and 10 large-scale/interactive installation works. The trail is fully accessible and free to the public.

  • Open-Air Plinth (24" x 24" base, max 8 feet tall, 30 selections)
  • Covered Plinth (21" x 21" x 30" tall enclosure, 30 selections)
  • Large-Scale Installation (10 selections)
  • Sculpture Inside at Art Gallery of Burlington (small works on consignment)
  • Video/digital art and sound art are not eligible
  • Large-scale installations require detailed fabrication specs and stamped engineered drawings on request
  • Artists responsible for all transportation and material costs
  • Open-Air Plinth: $1,000 per work
  • Covered Plinth: $750 per work
  • Large-Scale Installation: $5,000–$15,000 per work
  • No application fee

Artists receive 100% of sale price less 50% of their exhibition fee when works sell through BWST. Sculpture Inside offers 65% commission to artist, 35% to Art Gallery of Burlington. Optional honoraria available for tour guides, workshop leaders, and Family Fun Day programming leaders.

Submit online: 75-word artist/collective bio; 75-word work statement (expandable); maximum 4-page résumé/CV; 1–6 images of previous work; 3–5 high-resolution images of the work under consideration (JPEG or TIFF, minimum 300 DPI/PPI, 1200 x 1200 pixels, max 10MB each); work description including date, materials, dimensions, and weight; website and social media handles; contact information; and demographic information.
