Creative Capacity Grant 2027 - Arizona Commission on the Arts

Overview

Arizona Commission on the Arts offers Creative Capacity Grants to support nonprofit arts organizations with general operating costs including salaries, artistic/production expenses, and administrative expenses.

Who Can Apply

• Based in Arizona
• Incorporated as a nonprofit organization with tax-exempt status, or a unit of municipal/tribal government
• Primary mission to produce, present, teach, or serve the arts
• Minimum annual budget of $4,000
• Will incur eligible expenses during the funding period (July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027)
• Unincorporated organizations below $200,000 annual budget may apply through a nonprofit fiscal sponsor

• Opens: March 2, 2026 at 8:00 AM (MST)
• Deadline: April 16, 2026 at 11:59 PM (MST)

Grant Levels

• Level 1: $4,000 - $19,999
• Level 2: $20,000 - $49,999
• Level 3: $50,000 - $99,999
• Level 4: $100,000 - $199,999
• Level 5: $200,000 - $399,999
• Level 6: $400,000 - $999,999
• Level 7: $1,000,000 - $4,999,999
• Level 8: $5,000,000 and above

Multi-Year Cycle

• For Fiscal Year 2027, a full application is required from: organizations that did not apply in FY2026; organizations that applied in FY2026 but were not awarded; and grant levels 1-3
