Overview
Vantage Point 13 brings together newly commissioned works that reflect on the evolving possibilities of documentary photography. Developed through sustained curatorial dialogue with six artists across different geographies and contexts, the exhibition unfolds through a series of distinct yet interconnected approaches.
Artists & Themes
Luisa Dörr, Latifa AlBokhari and Sathish Kumar use portraiture and observational strategies to attend to the nuances of lived experience. Adam Rouhana, Guanyu Xu and Maheder Haileselassie shift the focus towards absence and rupture. The works explore large-scale prints, constructed installations and spatial interventions that challenge the medium's conventions.
