Overview
photoED magazine's Real vs Imagined edition concludes the Contrasts trilogy. The publication seeks well-considered, fine art photography submissions (not stock) with diverse interpretations on the theme—exploring the blurred lines between reality and fiction. Submissions are blind-reviewed by volunteer curatorial editorial board members, who assess how work presents a unique interpretation of the theme.

Awards & Publication
Ten selected contributors' projects will be published in photoED magazine's print edition (and digital replica versions). Selected contributors receive printed copies of the publication including worldwide shipping. An additional 25 selected contributors feature in the free Digital EXTRA companion editions. All selected contributors receive exposure across photoED magazine's email campaigns and social media channels.
Eligibility
Open to photographers worldwide, including emerging and established professional artists. BIPOC artists, Women, Persons with Disabilities, members of the Deaf Community, and persons living in poverty are warmly welcomed. Economically challenged artists may request fee exemption.
