Eligibility
- MAPS member in good standing (dues paid by May 31, 2026)
- 18 years old or older
- Original artwork only; at least 80% soft pastel (no oil pastels)
- No work done under supervision in class or workshop
- No work from photographs other than artist's own
- No AI-generated or AI-referenced work
- Work completed within the last 3 years
- Not previously shown in any MAPS show or exhibit
- All subjects and styles eligible (including tasteful nudes), subject to juror's discretion
Submission Requirements
- Up to 5 artworks per artist
- Submit high-quality JPEG image files (max 30mb)
- Photograph painting only—no mat, frame, or background visible
- Image must be oriented correctly
- Do not resize or rename files; system handles this automatically
- Upload on ShowSubmit.com by midnight Monday, September 14, 2026
Entry Fees
- 1st image: $35
- Images 2–5: $5 each
- Payment by credit or debit card via secure checkout
- Fees are nonrefundable

Zoom opening reception on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at 7pm CT with award presentation by Mark Ivan Cole. Exhibition viewable online at www.midamericapastel.com. NFS (not for sale) is permitted. MAPS takes no commission on sales and assumes no responsibility for sale completion or shipping damage.
