Overview
AADK Spain invites artists and researchers to participate in this artistic residency program, exploring the notion of trace as a place of transition between presence and absence, and as a tool for reconfiguring the relationship between space and memory. The residency is grounded in research and contemporary creation, with emphasis on body, territory, and spatiality as central axes. Projects engaging broadly with these curatorial lines are welcome.
Residency Details
- Duration: 1–6 months
- Location: Blanca, Spain
- Accommodation: Private room in shared house, or private apartment at Centro Negra (€300 additional cost)
- Workspace: Inspiring studios suited to different artistic practices; residents encouraged to extend research into the landscape and natural surroundings

Eligibility
Artists from all disciplines and researchers whose work engages with artistic practice are welcome. LGBTIQ+, BIPOC, and communities affected by war, exile, and structural exclusion are especially encouraged to apply.
What We Expect
Artists in residence are invited to take part in the program's activities and enrich their stay through active participation. Each month, an Open Studio is hosted where residents are encouraged to share their work—whether finished pieces or works in progress.

- Entry fee
- Participation fee €1,000 includes accommodation (private room in shared house), workspace, exhibition space, welcome coffee, technical equipment access, mentoring, curatorial guidance, documentation, and technical/production assistance. Private apartment available at Centro Negra for additional €300. Collective residencies add €150/month per additional participant. Travel and living expenses are the resident's responsibility.
