About
Overview
The European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists (EFFEA) is an initiative of the European Festivals Association supported by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union. It offers emerging artists a platform to establish themselves internationally through artist-in-residence programmes co-produced by festivals across Europe.
What is an EFFEA Residency?
A residency programme aimed at fostering the international careers of emerging artists, co-produced by a leading festival in collaboration with partner festivals from different eligible countries (minimum 3 festivals). Artists receive dedicated time, space, and support to explore their ideas and creative projects while building connections with festival programmers, colleagues, and audiences.
Residency Categories
- EFFEA Discovery: For artists at early stages of their careers with strong potential to break through internationally. 40 grants of €8,000 awarded.
- EFFEA Springboard: For artists already established in their own country and ready to develop careers internationally. 10 grants of €15,000 awarded.
