Jentel Artist Residency, in its 25th year, offers 3-week residencies in Wyoming's Lower Piney Creek Valley in the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains. Five new and two renovated structures provide private studios, private bedrooms in shared housing, shared living areas and kitchens, and access to Wyoming's natural beauty.

Applicants must be 25 years of age or older, US citizens or residing in the US during the year of the residency, and not enrolled full-time (9+ hours) in an academic program. Post-doc fellows are eligible.

21-day residencies run from mid-January through early December. Average of 6 artists in residence at a time. Each resident receives a private studio, private bedroom, shared living area and kitchen access, and a $300 stipend distributed weekly.

Jentel's review panelists are visual art, literary, and music professionals who review and rate applications twice a year. Selection is based on artistic merit and promise. Both mature and emerging artists are encouraged to apply.

Residents participate in public programming, open studio with fellow residents, and give artist talks or presentations.
