United Arts of Central Florida facilitates the Orange County Cultural Tourism Funding program, which aims to enhance the Orlando area's arts and cultural identity, present quality arts and cultural experiences, and promote tourism.

  • 501(c)(3) nonprofit or AAM-accredited museum registered and in good standing with State of Florida and IRS
  • Organization must be 501(c)(3) for at least 3 years at time of application
  • Currently in compliance with any open Orange County grants
  • Successfully delivered an event or series of events in Orange County within the last 5 years drawing significant tourist interest
  • Event will take place in Orange County and be accessible and promoted to general public
  • Event occurs between January 1 to December 31, 2027
  • Arts and culture activities are not supplementary to non-arts conferences or similar gatherings
  • Market to potential visitors beyond Orange, Osceola, Lake, and Seminole counties
  • Community support through donations matching requested amount at least dollar-for-dollar
  • Attend FY27 Cultural Tourism Funding workshop (recording available for those who missed live session)
  • Have a checking account with licensed financial institution
  • Prepare at least quarterly financial statements (Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statement) reviewed and approved by board within 9 months of fiscal year-end
  • File annual IRS Form 990 (or 990-EZ, 990-N with additional documentation)
  • Have a UEI number
  • Small Request: Up to $58,000 (minimum score 70; in-kind match up to 50%)
  • Medium Request: $58,001 to $105,000 (minimum score 75)
  • Match must be at least $1 dollar to $1 dollar
  • Project Period: November 1, 2026 to February 28, 2028
  • Event dates: January 1 to December 31, 2027
  • FY27 Cultural Tourism Funding workshop held: Friday, May 8, 2026, 1:00-2:30 p.m.

Organizations must maintain specified financial documentation based on three-year average of operating revenue as reported on IRS Form 990. Financial statements (self-reported, reviewed, or audited) determine the maximum request amount and required level of documentation.
