Overview

ArtScape 18 Banners seeks original artwork to be printed on banners displayed in Winchester and Middleburg, VA. High-resolution digital photos of work are required for submission.

Eligibility

  • Must live in the Shenandoah Valley region served by ShenArts
  • Artists of any age and level of expertise may apply
  • Work must be original and not previously exhibited at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley or the Member's Show at the Barns

Submission Requirements

  • Submit up to 3 pieces of personal work
  • High-resolution digital photos required
  • Artwork must be suitable for public community spaces
  • No copyrighted or trademarked imagery (cartoon, anime, published images, etc.)
  • Posthumous submissions not allowed

Banner Dimensions & Format

Square format is best, followed by vertically-oriented work. Avoid horizontally-oriented work. Artwork may be cropped or require background color to fill the space as determined by the banner designer.

Delivery & Installation

  • Artwork must be delivered ready to hang
  • Each piece must have D-rings for hanging hardware on the back
  • No eyehooks or sawtooth hangers
  • ShenArts and the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley are not responsible for damage or breakage
