Overview
PHA's Public Art fabrication shop collaborates with artists, curators, nonprofit organizations, cultural institutions, designers, and corporate clients. The department is led by skilled makers and bolstered by a diverse network of local specialty fabricators to conceptualize, fabricate, and install public artworks, gallery exhibitions, and works of any scale.
Services Offered
- Design & Drafting: Concept development, design consultation, prototyping, modeling, technical drawings, and file preparation for digital fabrication
- Fabrication: CNC machining and laser cutting, metal fabrication and welding, woodworking and carpentry, assembly and finishing
- Production Management: Project planning and budgeting, material sourcing, vendor coordination, scheduling, quality control, and documentation
- Installation & Logistics: Art handling and transportation (domestic and international), installation and deinstallation, site surveys, installation/maintenance manuals, packing and crating
