Victoria and Albert Museum, London, with international tour venues

Organised by the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, in partnership with Art Jameel, the Jameel Prize recognises the influence of Islamic tradition on contemporary culture and celebrates contemporary practitioners inspired by Islamic design and visual culture. Over seven editions, it has received more than 1,700 applications from over 40 countries, exhibited 56 artists and designers, and toured to 18 venues worldwide.

The seventh edition focuses on film, video, and time-based media alongside established and emerging digital technologies. Winner Khandakar Ohida was selected for her film 'Dream Your Museum' (2022).

The prize includes international exhibition and touring opportunities to multiple venues worldwide. The previous edition (Poetry to Politics) offered a £25,000 prize.
