About
About This Scholarship
The Alaina Fisher Endowment was established in 2023 to honor Margaret Marie Alaina Fisher, a talented artist and alumna of Ringling College of Art and Design who passed away on October 24, 2022. At the time of her death, she was studying sculpture at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy. The endowment was funded by a generous donation from Jill Cox and Barry Cox of Warehouse Services, Inc., with additional support from the Fisher family and the Metropolitan Arts Council.
Purpose
Provide one graduating senior in Greenville County School District a one-time, merit-based scholarship of $5,000 to major in any branch of the visual arts at an accredited college or university. The student must be admitted and committed to the college or university they will be attending that Fall.
Eligibility
- Be a graduating senior in the Greenville County School District
- Be a permanent resident of Greenville County for a minimum of 6 months prior to the application deadline
- Already be accepted and committed into a college or university with the intent of majoring in a field of Visual Arts
Award
$5,000 scholarship, paid directly to the college or university the student will be attending.

- An art portfolio of 8-10 images (film/time-based media max 15 minutes of footage)
- An artist statement
- Essay: Describe the process and inspiration of one of your portfolio works
