About
Overview
Corsicana Artist and Writer Residency advances the production and presentation of new work and ideas by an international community of artists and writers by providing generous support and historic space. Fifty miles south of Dallas, the residency takes place in the historic downtown of Corsicana, anchored by 100 West, a former Odd Fellows Lodge, which serves as a cultural campus providing artists and writers meaningful interaction with the community and its history as a springboard for research and creative production.

- Funded residency: All accepted applicants receive funding covering studio and housing accommodations
- Estimated funding value per resident per two-month term: $5,000–$7,000 (depending on artist or writer studio accommodations and programming)
- Travel, meal, and research expenses are not covered
- Residents receive no direct payment; funding is absorbed by the residency
